Officially Starting My Preparation! #KoreanDream

I just finished taking my TOEFL ITP. Literally just finished it about 30 mins ago and I’m at BunJu Cafe & Mart now, treating myself; sponsored by Mona.

I registered for the TOEFL on September when I got bonus hahaha. Why did I decide to take TOEFL? Because I tried to re-read the requirements again on the university’s website and it said that TOEFL PBT with minimum score 530 was accepted. And there were also other English proficiency tests mentioned, including IELTS. Compared to IELTS, TOEFL PBT of course much more cheaper. 

BUT THEN, just 2 weeks ago, I joined a webinar from one of my destination university and I asked question related to the English proficiency test, and the representative told me that 90% more candidates submitted IELTS :”) Then, I quickly found information about IELTS test in Yogyakarta, provided by a certain institution. I was thinking a lot about it because I need to spen 3mills for the test. That’s….a lot of money. Also, I need to take it on December or January at the latest; when I have to prepare seriously. Although the required score is not high, but I won’t let myself get a bad score after paying for that much of money hahahaha. 

I haven’t registered for the IELTS yet, because I need to adjust some things. Including taking a leave for the test day. I will be taking the test on weekdays because my main job is during the weekend. 

Anyway, for the TOEFL ITP, I got a pretty good score. Improved from the last test I took around 3 years ago. I should’ve been prepared more and better, but you know, it’s always hard for me to study. However, I did not give up, for sure. I tried to study last night and some other days, even though it’s only a little. Maybe, if I study more, I will get better score. Also, it’s my problem that I can lost focus for a second during listening and reading. Actually for Reading, I can still re-check on it, but for Listening….no mercy. 

Since I took the computer-based test for TOEFL, I got the score directly after I finished answering all the questions. It’s kinda surprising, but also good at the same time because I don’t need to wait for several days to see the result. 

Now, I need to continue preparing for other things. I sould continue my Personal Statement, but I don’t know what to write more. BUT OF COURSE I MUST NOT GIVE UP!

What else should I do? A LOT. 

I need to continue. That’s all I need to do. I won’t stop. Never.
